With everything going on in the world right now, it’s understandable that Australian expats would want to be able to come back home.
Thankfully we’ve managed to get COVID-19 under control here, and life for the most part is back to normal here in Australia.
Moving from UK to Australia
If you’re wanting to move back to Australia after living in the UK for in excess of 12 months and you’ve bought a car during your time overseas, then you’re in a unique spot – you have the ability to import the vehicle that you’ve owned and used for in excess of 12 months as a personal import which means you can bypass Australia’s outdated and complicated import laws – more information here
If the vehicle is older than 25 years old, you can also import it into the country without any problems, more info here
We can offer a couple of options for the journey back, the cheapest and most popular option is our shared container service, for only AUD 3950.00 we can move your standard sized vehicle back across to Australia, based on you dropping the vehicle to a depot nearby to Southampton, and collecting from either Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.
Alternatively, we can move cargo in either a sole use 20ft container which allows you to load a couple of cubic metres of additional personal items, or even a 40ft container if you’ve got a couple of cars and extra’s.
Few things to consider
There are a few other things to consider as well – import tax / transit insurance / compliance / registration but it often works out to be financially viable, in particularly for rarer vehicles that can be sold here for a tidy profit.
